Introducing Me!

    Thanks for joining me here. My name is Reagan, and I'm starting a blog because I have a lot of thoughts.

    Now I know what you're probably thinking: "Reagan, doesn't everybody have a lot of thoughts?" Well, yeah, sure. But I am a former English major who got rather accustomed to regularly scheduled literary analysis essays and discussions, and in my post-college adult life, that typically translates into me sending long-winded voice messages to my best friends because I really need to talk about whatever movie I just watched, book I just read, or song I just listened to. I thought it might be fun to try organizing my thoughts into more coherent, critically thought-out pieces that might reach a broader audience who shares my interests. My hope is that it will revitalize my creativity by focusing less on storytelling for the time being and more on honing the wordcraft that I spent so many years developing. It will also encourage me to hold on to my critical thinking skills in a world so ready to surrender them over to AI.

    I am a writer, a reader, an admirer of nature, a movie lover, a fashion enthusiast, a follower of Christ. This blog could really cover anything; I'm not setting any hard and fast rules for myself. It might cover my reviews of all things pop culture, new or classic---maybe I'll write about why Pride and Prejudice remains so enduringly beloved or share the thesis I wrote in college analyzing CS Lewis's depiction of spiritual growth in his Narnia characters. It could delve into my reflections on faith, my analyses of fashion, or my rants on any random topic. I am a very passionate individual with a pen (or, in this case, a keyboard), and I love to write. Maybe not every piece I post will strike your interest, but I hope you won't hold that against me and you'll be willing to stick around.
